Respect Randy Moss...or at least his accomplishments

they did it. they can now claim the title as the best regular season football team ever. with this victory, randy moss parlayed his way into the record books breaking jerry rice's record for single regular season touchdown passes with 23. despite the criticism of the media and football fans about his passion for the game and ethics, randy moss has managed to push steadily toward making himself one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play the game. no, you didn't misread the sentence. i said RANDY MOSS. i unlike many, appreciated his contributions to football. what i don't understand is other people. sports are entertainment...meant to be enjoyed by the masses. they were not created for onlookers to sit and judge the individuals providing the entertainment. many in media do not like moss calling him aloof and selfish. i think he is smart. he doesn't get caught up in the bullshit, and he keeps to himself. you didn't see his name in the group of vikings players implicated in the boat party scandal. did you? he's a lot smarter than people would think. if people took time to look at the record books, they would notice his name all over them. he is miles ahead of T.O. i guess it only pays to be a media darling. so on this day i would like to say thank you to randy moss for being well...randy moss. in the words of the misunderstood wide reciever, "i don't really think breakin jerry rice's record was special. i think shuttin you guys[the media] up is special."
